Congratulations to Cory Johnson, the 2022 Pureland Supply Skilled Trades Scholarship winner! Cory attends the Pennsylvania College of Technology, majoring in Heavy Construction Equipment Technology: Operator and Technician.
Cory enjoys working with his hands and manual labor. He tells us that a desk job is not meant for him. He is “eager to operate and repair the machines that literally build the life as we all know it.” As a heavy equipment operator, Cory will bring the architect’s drawings and renderings to life. He wants “to be part of the change to make America more self-sufficient and thriving,” to be “able to drive around a community and know that he had something to do with a building being constructed.”
In addition to the Associate Degree for Heavy Construction Equipment Technology, Cory is planning to continue his education for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Cory also plays on the college’s new Division 3 lacrosse team.
We wish Cory success in his future career as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Technician, and we are pleased to support his goals by awarding him the 2022 Pureland Supply Skilled Trades Scholarship!
